Update, Scott...Your adversities are much more than anyone should be forced to endure...Your work while employed alongside Professors Fenton and Neil is a valuable asset...Thank you for what you did, and continue to do...

Possibly... Arguably... the best 5-6 years of my life. I learned more than I could have ever given. But I think that was the purpose.

The Lucy Letby case, and its aftermath, has exposed such incompetence as to be dangerous...no wonder the most culpable needed to find a scapegoat...

How you managed to update us on all thse things is remarkable. I greatly hope you will get a correct diagnosis soon, a cure or at least a restoration, peace of mind to the extent possible, and sound employment. The retribution against you reads like 1984, The Sequel or a TV farce. All best to you, Dr. McLachlan. I shall look for your some-day update.

I have monocular multiple vision in both eyes since I was a child. I’ve been diagnosed over the years as having Meesman’s Corneal Dystrophy or just Dry Eyes. In my case wearing contact lenses, but not glasses, corrects the problem by creating a smooth final surface to my eye. I am also very short sighted. I don’t think this is your problem unless the headaches are unrelated but you might find temporary relief from trying some basic non correctional contact lenses. I would suggest soft lenses that are daily disposables and not wearing them if you’re still taking steroid drops obviously.

I have actually been looking into exactly this... It is apparently possible here to get lenses without correction that are simply there to hold fluid in the depressions of the cornea and provide a smooth, regular surface. But while I can be prescribed these I have been told the absence of any correction means they do not attract medicare rebates so I would have to front the entire cost myself.

I'm in the UK and buy my contact lenses online from vision direct.co.uk and they're not very expensive. You could go for the lowest correction. I'm guessing you might have a touch of presbyopia by now, so a small + might help. I wear - 5 for my shortsightedness.

Extremely sorry to hear of your health struggles and I hope that they fully resolve very soon. Based on your own statistical figures, I would suggest seeing a good chiropractor. You would be shocked by some of the conditions that resolve when undiagnosed nerve impingement is remedied. If possible, try to find someone trained in Gonstead Technique, as that would involve actual hands on manipulation (some "chiropractors" do little or none) in the most specific fashion. Get those vertebrae realigned and hopefully the magic will happen.

I am going to wait and see what the MRI shows wrt my neck vertebrae... after which an osteopathic type person to realign my neck may be necessary.

Regardless of what route you take, I wish you a brief and easy journey back to health. Keep your spirits up and know that you are not alone.

I was thinking the same thing. Health practitioner Simon King developed a method called Afferentology which involves diagnosing muscle and nerve weaknesses, and chiropractic manipulations to correct them. He is Australian but now practices in England. However, he has trained hundreds of chiropractors in the methodology. I had several sessions with Simon last year for my chronic migraines. While I have yet to resolve my headaches, I experienced improvements in arm strength, neck mobility/pain and posture. The price was reasonable, and it might be worth a try. I discovered Simon when he was interviewed on Doc Malik podcast episode #214.

Doctor, regarding DEI, here is how the WEF managed to thrust it into every government and corporate orifice:
