Really great article. I’m going to make sure I read your other work ASAP. Sorry to hear about your mother’s treatment. We really are living in a dystopian Philip K Dick novel.

Excellent.

Big thanks for your fact checker checking. It is 🎯. The ‘care home’ antics, sadly, imho, have long been well/carefully embedded in the ‘care-home culture’. Wilfully or blindly, most accept the ‘comforting care’ signals sent out from these high turnover restaurant like rest-homes. Eye-watering profits have kept their investors impressed for years without question. It maybe speculated that some investors even get to return their returns..

‘Taking care’ of infants, and the elderly, is slick medical ‘care’ for profit. These ‘Good Returns’ on steroids, now means ‘No Returns’.

Oh man oh man, murder in broad daylight, there is no other word to use here. Your anger and rage are palpable and warranted, and I am so very sorry for you and your Mum to be at the hands of these mengeles. We are truly doomed. It is a repeat of the 1930s with, again, doctors being the eager beavers to outdo themselves for the sYstem. You know, your poor Mum, even though the mind works fine, the body simply is not physically fit enough to take on such mental abuse and to step away from it, as you would when younger (i am 70 so i know whereof i speak). Why for heaven’s sake was your mom talked out of her apartment? Is there no caretaking at home? Evidently she was in fine mental shape to be doing a bachelor’s and then a Master’s at her stage in life! Backbone too. To have come this far only to have it end at the hands of the “care squad”. Often at night, I imagine the day of reckoning, and I have visions of what i would like to do to the perpetrators. Let me say that a bullet or noose is simply too kind. I am also afraid that I won’t live to see that day. Hugs to you ❤️

Thank you for writing such a poignant and powerful article. Your passion for truth, disdain for lies and justified pain resonate deeply. Navigating and escaping the sadness of institutional madness is made easier with knowledge and understanding. After watching my young aunty in 'aged care', I have come to despise even the word 'aged'. They are vulnerable, valuable older citizens abandoned by a souless society. My aunty was institutionalised with 'dementia' -misdiagnosed due to infection, but forever trapped due to heavily prescribed prescription drugs. Her family's concerns discarded as the rage against the machine fell on the 'deaf' ears and 'blind' eyes of protected and powerful forces propped up by 'research'. We desperately need an alternative system where as Joel Smalley says we 'care for' those that paved the way for us. We can never forget those like your neighbour, your mum, our own friends and family sacrificed without care by those claiming to protect them.

Thank you again for shining light on malevolence. Wishing you peace amongst the pain.
